Weekly Blog 4/26

Dear Wines Families,

I have a lot of information today, so please take a moment to read through this.

BIG THANKS!
Our 2nd annual “off site” auction was a smashing success last Saturday night. Thank you to everyone who came out and BIG thanks to Tracie Clarke, Amy Holland, and Kathryn Werns for putting on such an amazing event for our school. I also want to thank Jon and Frances Carlson for letting us use the amazing space at Null Tap House for our event!

Class Placement Parent Input
Over the next few weeks, I will be working with our teachers to make class placement decisions for next year. As we have done in the past, parents have the option to provide us with input as we make these placements. Below is a link to a brief survey to collect your input. As always, we do not allow for specific requests to have your child placed with a certain teacher nor do we allow for specific request for your child not to be placed with a teacher. Below is the link.  The survey will be open until May 12.

Art Night

Save the date for Art Night: Thursday, May 11th from 6:30-8 pm.
Come enjoy student art, and share cookies! Just drop off cookies on your way in, and enjoy.  Want to help run the cookie tables in the cafeteria on Art Night? We would love your help. Click on the Art Night Sign Up Genius to help out.
If you have any questions, please call or text Peg Knight at 360.298.0060, and thank you!

Sinking Fund Millage Vote May 2
As I hope you all know, the Sinking Fund Millage proposal is on the ballot in next Tuesday’s election. If you would like more information on the Millage proposal, please visit http://www.a2schools.org/site/Default.aspx?PageID=11683. Please vote next Tuesday. As a reminder, there is no school on Tuesday for Election Day.

That’s all for this week!

David
